Dr. Chen earned her DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) in 2001 and her PhD in Pharmacology in 1996 from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Chen also has a medical degree from Nanchang University Medical School in China.
She has participated in numerous dental conferences and courses worldwide in order to incorporate the newest technologies and leading advances in dentistry into her practice.

She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), North Carolina Dental Association, Charlotte Dental Association and American Association of General Dentistry (AGD). Dr. Chen is a partner of Nobel Biocare, one of the world’s largest dental implant companies.

My journey at Bright Dental Charlotte began over five years ago as a dental assistant. Working chairside gave me a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of patient care, treatment procedures, and what it takes to create a positive dental experience. As my passion for leadership and helping both patients and team members grew, I transitioned into the role of Office Manager.
Today, I combine my clinical expertise with office operations to help ensure our practice runs efficiently while delivering exceptional patient care. My background allows me to bridge the gap between the clinical and administrative sides of the office, making it easier to support our doctors, team, and patients every step of the way.
Kim has been part of the Bright Dental Charlotte team for 11 years. She graduated from Central Piedmont Community College where she earned her Dental Hygiene Degree and received the prestigious Golden Scaler dental hygiene student award.
About the Staff/Facilities
Likewise, the staff at Dr. Chen’s practice is skilled, caring, and hard-working. They will go out of their way to help patients, from explaining treatment plans to helping with insurance plans. The facilities are modern and equipped with the latest technologies, including 3D imaging techniques and the CEREC system for crowns in one visit.
